Autumn in Beautiful Lakewood WA

There really is nothing quite like Autumn for beauty and color all around.  Lakewood has more than the usual of this beauty and color.  Here are a few pics I snapped on walks recently.

Park Lodge grade school in the back ground.  Much of Lakewood has sidewalks encouraging walking to your destination.
Leaves and color lining the side wak near Chase bank at 100th and Gravelly Lake Drive

Our local Maples are a treasure, right along with our Oaks.

Lakewood is plentiful with this variety of Oaks, which are endangered and rare elsewherre
This inviting home is an example of the charming architecture and good care typical of our neighborhoods.  The homes look like they belong in their beautiful surroundings.

Fall color at a rain garden.  This is an area which helps with run off, sustains local wildlife and does not need to be fed since it houses hardly local plants that do not require constant watering.

The Oaks and Maples don't get all the fun.....

Lakewood Spring Blooms

One of the very most enjoyable things about Living in Lakewood is the abundance of amazing plant life.  Spring is one of the best times to see on display.

More Spring flowers

One of many area dog wood trees, most common are these brilliant pink flowers here in                       Lakewood, and they can also be found in white as well.

Another common tree that seems to thrive here, the Lilac, this one is purple, these fragrant flowering trees also boast white flowers as well.

Rhododendrons are bountiful in Lakewood, this one is the Taurus, named so because of the Red                                                             blooms always present in April

Another flowering bush common in Lakewood with spring blooming, the camellia tree, sometimes                           with these pink blooms, some white and or variegated blossoms.
