The day the news called and asked if I would be part of a story

Yesterday was a bit of a crazy day, it started out fairly routine, except for the fact I had 4 sick kids at home....and before it was over....less than routine.

Around 10 am I got a call from King 5 news, asking if they could film me showing homes to a client.  I said sure I could arrange that.  I expected we were scheduling for some time in the next 2 weeks....no she meant in 2 hours or less.

Firstly, finding a client I work with who was available on such short notice was going to be challenging and I also had to research the homes, check the showing instructions and so on....I was able to reach one of my long time clients who has been with me for 11 years.  He agreed to come check out some homes.  2 hours later I was on my way there.  Forget the fact that I had been running morning errands in my sweats when King 5 called and had to scramble every bit of the way to arrive on time.

I got there first, when I arrived, my Real Estate key did not load properly and only gave me a message that said "call 1800 xxx-xxxx for help.  I panic, since the film crew is arriving and me trying to make my key work is not exactly what I hoped to give them to put on camera....thankfully, as they got to the yard began to set up my key started to work....not sure what was wrong, but not about to invest time finding out when it is now working.

We looked at that house hand 3 others.....it feels super strange to be looking at a house with a whole entire film crew along.  However, it is clear these ladies are pros, and they are relaxed and comfortable and because of this, I find myself becoming comfortable as they work with us.

Any way, it was fun and rather different than my normal day ( not showing homes, showing homes with a news crew in tow)

Here is the result http://www.king5.com/story/news/local/tacoma/2015/01/08/pierce-county-home-prices-jump/21476147/
