Lakewood Spring Blooms

One of the very most enjoyable things about Living in Lakewood is the abundance of amazing plant life.  Spring is one of the best times to see on display.

One of many area dog wood trees, most common are these brilliant pink flowers here in                       Lakewood, and they can also be found in white as well.

Another common tree that seems to thrive here, the Lilac, this one is purple, these fragrant flowering trees also boast white flowers as well.

Rhododendrons are bountiful in Lakewood, this one is the Taurus, named so because of the Red                                                             blooms always present in April

Another flowering bush common in Lakewood with spring blooming, the camellia tree, sometimes                           with these pink blooms, some white and or variegated blossoms.

Living and shopping in Lakewood- Wild Thyme Nursery and Landscaping

In this area, we are blessed to have many places to buy great nursery items.  However, you don't have to leave Lakewood and head into University Place or head to Portland Ave to find an amazing selection of amazing plants and trees at great prices.

Head on over to Wild Thyme Nursery located at 4416 S. 74th Street.  It's super close to H and L produce just about a block from the corner of Lakewood Drive and 74th Street.

What will you find?  A great selection of fruit trees,

seasonal plants,

Japanese Maples

and lots more, plus great advice on what to do with it all when you get home.

We wanted another 4 way plum, ( a plum tree that is grafted and produces 4 kinds of plums) We had been to several farther away nurseries.  They did not have one, they were out of them....so I suggested to my hubby that we look a bit closer to home and we stopped at Wild Thyme.  They had it at a great price and actually had several to choose from as well.  The service was wonderful and helpful and we will be going back for our next nursery purchases.

Want to know if they have something or find out more about their landscaping services?  Call them directly at 253 474 6233.

Thinking about sprucing up your yard to get your home ready to sell?  This might be a great place to shop.  Want to know what things would add value to your home?  Click here to call and schedule your free consultation.
